Murfreesboro, TN - Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE) has issued a cautionary notice for motorists in Murfreesboro, urging them to exercise caution starting Monday, March 4, with potential ongoing impacts until Friday, March 15. This advisory comes as MTE's contractors, Burford Tree, undertake tree trimming activities in the Right-of-Way on the southbound lane of Thompson Lane, stretching from Siegel Road to Northwest Broad Street.
The tree trimming work is scheduled to take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., necessitating lane closures as workers trim trees located under the three-phase powerline infrastructure.
Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes during this period to minimize potential delays. Suggested alternative routes include utilizing Siegel Road to Sulphur Springs Road or Siegel Road to Haynes Drive.
To ensure the safety and efficiency of the operation, MTE and Burford Tree will collaborate with local law enforcement officers to manage traffic flow, facilitating the timely and secure completion of the tree trimming work by MTE crews.
