Gas Prices this Week in Rutherford County

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have risen 4.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.70/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 5.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 23.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.0 cents in the last week and stands at $3.89 per gallon.

In Rutherford County, the average price of fuel is $2.69 per gallon. South of Murfreesboro in Bedford County, AAA Auto Club shows prices for regular unleaded are averaging $2.68 per gallon. Above Rutherford County in the Lebanon area, prices are an average of $2.73 per gallon while Nashville prices are at $2.72 per gallon. Nearby Williamson County still has the highest priced fuel, averaging $3.12 per gallon on Monday.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 0.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.04/g today. The national average is down 1.4 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 23.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.

As for diesel prices in the Volunteer State, the average price is currently $3.66 per gallon. During this same period last year, diesel was selling for $4.39 per gallon. Records show diesel hit a peak on June 15, 2022. At that point, diesel was averaging $5.64 per gallon in Tennessee.
