The Kimberly Family Foundation is proud to announce a record $41,227.59 raised at its New Year’s Eve Charity Casino Gala, held December 31, 2023, at the Stones River Country Club. The event was made possible through the generous support of numerous community partners and John Jones Real Estate, a locally owned brokerage providing unparalleled service, maximum exposure, and expert knowledge of the Rutherford County real estate market.
“We are humbled to receive such incredible support from our friends in the community and from so many local businesses,” said Murfreesboro Attorney Scott Kimberly, who serves as the Chairman for the Kimberly Family Foundation. “I am fortunate enough to call John Jones a close friend, but this community is even more fortunate for his experience and dedication to giving back to those in need.”
The Kimberly Family Foundation supports organizations and programs in Rutherford County and Middle Tennessee that work towards decreasing poverty, homelessness, and hunger. The Foundation strives to be a catalyst, facilitating and encouraging charitable giving that will change the community for good. Half of every dollar raised is invested for long-term giving and the other half is immediately given away to local charitable organizations.
At the Gala, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County received the Jackpot Grant, a $5,000 grant awarded to the non-profit that received the most support from event attendees. The Foundation has allocated another $15,000.00 for immediate giving to agencies that fight against poverty, hunger, and homelessness, again with the generous support of John Jones Real Estate and other community partners.
“Our company is always looking for ways to give back to this community,” said John Jones, Owner and Principal Broker of John Jones Real Estate. “This event supports a lot of places in this town that do a lot of good and we are proud to be on board.”
The collective impact of this event would not be possible without the generous support of numerous community partners, including the following: Compass Insurance Services; Contract Management Services; Center Hill Marina; Holloway Accounting Services; JW Foundations; Dana Womack, State Farm; R3 Contractors; Law Office of Charles Frazier; Smith-Wright Law; Mark & Meredith McEntire; Dow Smith Company, Inc.; and James R. Cash Auctions.
The Kimberly Family Foundation invites any charitable organization whose primary goals are decreasing poverty, homelessness, or hunger in Rutherford County or Middle Tennessee, to contact Denise Kimberly with specific grant requests at denise@murfreesborolawyer.com. The Foundation will review all grant requests and announce its recipients in the coming months.
