New Members to the Local Workforce as TCAT Celebrates 150+ Graduates

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – The Tennessee College of Applied Technology, established in 1963 by the General Assembly, has been a cornerstone of workforce development in the state. Today, the network of over 20 schools remains dedicated to providing high-quality, work-specific training to citizens, preparing them for employment.

Most recently, and just a few days before Christmas, TCAT celebrated its fall commencement with over 150 graduates in programs that prepared students for new careers in Cosmetology, HVAC installation and maintenance and Computer Aided Design (CAD).

 That was Patrick Wade, President of TCAT in Murfreesboro and Smyrna.

On December 19, 2023, the Murfreesboro TCAT campus commemorated the graduation of their very first Emergency Medical Technology students. And as the New Year is ushered in, the second group of students to participate in the brand new EMT program will began course-work, which starts next week. The EMT course takes 4-months to complete.
