Rutherford County,  TN  - The Tennessee General Assembly Rutherford County Delegation is set to host the Roadmap to Rutherford County Funding Forum on Monday, December 18, 2023. The forum will be held at the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce at 3050 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro from 5-6:30 PM.

“This past spring, in a letter to the county, our delegation suggested that the county work collaboratively with interested parties, including our delegation, to provide a roadmap for addressing the growth and the needs of our constituents. In order to facilitate such a discussion, we have organized a forum that will provide an opportunity for our entire delegation to gather facts and listen to concerns collectively,” said the Rutherford County Delegation in a joint statement.

The forum will be an information gathering opportunity for the Delegation, as well as an opportunity for county and industry leaders to present their funding and budget concerns and vision for Rutherford County.

Senators Shane Reeves and Dawn White, as well as Representatives Charlie Baum, Tim Rudd, Mike Sparks, Robert Stevens, and Bryan Terry, MD are expected to be in attendance. Mayor Joe Carr, Superintendent Jimmy Sullivan, Finance Director Michael Smith, county commissioners, and leaders from the realtor and home building industry have been invited. Paul Latture will serve as the moderator.
