(MURFREESBORO)  Around 1:00 o'clock Monday (11/27/2023) afternoon there was a two-SUV crash with injuries at the intersection of Thompson Lane and Gateway Boulevard, next to Ascension St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. 

Two SUV's collided with a Jeep Cherokee coming to a stop in the middle of the intersection, and a larger Ford Expedition off the ground and wedged between a traffic signal control box and a utility pole. 

The traffic signal was inoperative for much of the afternoon and Murfreesboro police directed the traffic at this busy intersection until new traffic control equipment could be installed.

Paramedics from Rutherford County Emergency Medical Services treated the injured persons on-the-scene and then took the to the ER, about a block away.
