MURFREESBORO, TN - This past Saturday (November 4, 2023), the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System hosted its Annual Veterans Day Parade on the York VA Medical Center Campus in Murfreesboro. This year’s theme was: “POW/MIA, You are Not Forgotten.”  

Micheal Renfrow, an Air Force Veteran who later served in the National Guard and now works at the VA was at the parade this past Saturday. When asked about some of the programs the VA supports, he told us… Renfrow is the Executive Director of the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System.

Dr. John Jackson, a Psychiatrist who also served in the Army, told WGNS… Jackson highlighted the Crisis Hotline… Again, Veterans can phone 988 and press 1. Someone from the VA will follow-up with the caller within one business day. 

Hannah McDuffie is a VA Public Affairs Specialist… McDuffie mentioned new legislation that will further help to serve Veterans across the country...
