RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - More and more medical offices are opening in the area known as Westlawn, which is along Veterans Parkway near I-840 in Murfreesboro.

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic & SurgiCenter will be opening MMC Westlawn at the end of this month on Monday, October 30, 2023. The new healthcare offices will include 75,000 square feet of services, which will mark MMC’s eighth location. In addition to primary care physicians in their new Internal/Family Medicine and Pediatrics Departments, the Westlawn location will also include specialists in Allergy, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, and Otolaryngology (ENT) as well as laboratory, radiology and infusion services. The organization also plans to relocate their endoscopy services into the new structure, which are currently housed at MMC's existing outpatient surgery center.

Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance was one of the first medical providers to open new offices in the Westlawn community. TOA Westlawn, which opened in 2022, boasts an 18-thousand square foot outpatient orthopedic surgery center and has its very own sports performance space for teams and individuals. TOA Westlawn also has both indoor and outdoor therapy spaces.

This past March (2023), Ascension Saint Thomas opened Tennessee’s first neighborhood hospital in Westlawn, with a goal of providing full service medical care to the Blackman community and other nearby areas. The new hospital has a 24/7 emergency room with board-certified ER physicians, inpatient hospital rooms, outpatient services, and future primary care and specialist offices on the second floor.

Again, the next medical office complex to open will be MMC Westlawn, which will open to serve the public at the end of the month on Monday, October 30, 2023.
