MURFREESBORO, TN - The Cultural Arts division of Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation is hosting the 19th Annual Greenway Art Festival on Saturday, September 16th from 10 am to 4 pm, located at Old Fort Park. More than 70 artists will be on-site displaying and selling a variety of original artwork.
The event this coming Saturday will include oil paint, watercolor, pottery, textiles, metal, glass, sculpture, and jewelry. All artwork is original and created by the artist and there are no mass productions of art allowed. There will also be several musical performances throughout the day, including a portion of the Washington Theater's production of The Lion King Junior.
Susan Hicks, event coordinator of the festival shared, "This is definitely one of our best events of the year. To be able to bring such an incredible variety and unique style of artists into one place – is phenomenal. We have artists and visitors come from all over to experience this festival." Refreshments will be available from on-site vendors. Admission and parking are free to this event.
Again, over 70 local talented artists will once again display and sell their creative work along the Greenway trail within Old Fort Park Saturday, September 16, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the 19th annual Greenway Art Festival.
