In Rutherford County, AAA the Auto Club reports prices for regular unleaded are sitting at $3.36 per gallon. Neighboring Williamson County continues to have the highest price in the state for regular unleaded, at $3.72 per gallon. Some of the lowest prices on fuel can be found just below Rutherford County in the Shelbyville area, where regular unleaded gas is selling for an average of $3.27 per gallon in Bedford County.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 1.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.79/g today. The national average is down 3.0 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 11.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
