UPDATE: Earlier this month on August 10th, Murfreesboro Police went to a home in the Kingdom Ridge subdivision with their special response unit to assist Metro Nashville Police in serving a warrant. Now, WGNS has more details related to that arrest.
Originally when 53-year-old Jackie Wilson Riley was taken into custody at a home on Beryl Drive in Murfreesboro, he was charged with possession of a schedule II drug for resale and possession of marijuana for resale. As that arrest wrapped up, Public Information Officer Larry Flowers said, “The Murfreesboro Police Department Special Operations Unit assisted the Department of Homeland Security with executing a Metro Nashville Police Department arrest warrant at a home on Beryl Drive this morning.” WGNS then headed to Metro Police for more details, which at the time were not available.
Now, Metro Police have confirmed that Riley is in custody at their Downtown Detention Center. Metro Spokesperson Don Aaron told WGNS that Riley was charged under a grand jury sealed indictment with two counts of especially aggravated solicitation of a minor – in this case, a minor who was a 13-year-old female. Aaron stated, “He is presently jailed in Nashville in lieu of $75,000 bond.”
Riley is behind bars and awaiting a court date in Nashville, where he was previously charged with statutory rape in year 2000. In Murfreesboro, Riley is scheduled to appear in court this November, where he will face marijuana related charges.
