Fatal Christiana Home Fire Friday Night

(CHRISTIANA, TN) Fire officials are in the midst of an investigation into what caused a fire this past Friday night in Christiana, Tennessee. When emergency crews first arrived on the scene, they found a manufactured home engulfed in heavy fire and visible smoke.

One person died as a result of the fire that happened in the 8000 block of Arnold Road in Christiana, TN. During search and extinguishment efforts, one victim was located within the home. That victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The Rutherford County Fire Rescue Department notes that the victim’s name is being withheld, pending positive identification.  

WGNS has confirmed that two firefighters sustained non-life threatening injuries during the fighting of that blaze. Both firemen were treated at the scene.

Additional scene support was provided by StormPoint Emergency Response and the Coffee County Volunteer Fire Department.     

The Rutherford County Fire Marshal’s Office is leading the investigation into the fatal house fire, with assistance being provided by investigators from the City of Murfreesboro Fire Marshal’s Office. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
