MURFREESBORO, TN - Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire on Almar Knot Drive on Wednesday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. Almar Knot sits near the intersection of Gresham Lane and Franklin Road. When fire crews arrived on the scene, there was heavy smoke and flames visible from the garage of the home.
Reports indicate that everyone inside the house escaped unharmed. Furthermore, no emergency responders were injured in the blaze. According to Murfreesboro Fire Officials, the Red Cross is assisting the family of four, since the home was deemed as inhabitable after the fire.
At this point, the cause of the fire has not been released, as it remains under investigation.
Fire crews with Rescue 11, Ladder 11, Rescue 4, Ladder 4, Engine 9, Battalion Chief 1 & 2, Safety 1 & 2, and Rutherford County Fire & Rescue 6 assisted with the fire.
