(MURFREESBORO) A gentle breeze with temps in the 70s created the perfect background for Main Street Murfreesboro's Annual Taste of Rutherford on the lawn at Oaklands Mansion, 900 N. Maney Avenue.

Main Street's Executive Director Sarah Callender said...  Main Street is is a non-profit that is committed to maintaining, enhancing and promoting the historic downtown district. It capitalizes on the unique character of the Rutherford County courthouse, the square, and the surrounding historic business district.

The local organization is affiliated with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, National Main Street Center and focuses on the four elements that help define downtown success: organization, design, promotion and economic restructuring.
