Another location hit by thieves was the small business park at 2670 Memorial Boulevard near SportsCom in Murfreesboro. One of the businesses that was broken into earlier this month on July 6th was an Exit Realty office. Behind the building, police found three black bags. Inside the bags were what appeared to be three house keys, checks and deposit slips, among other documents. In one of the bags, authorities found a hammer and a screw driver that police hoped would lead them to a possible suspect. While no arrest has been announced, the MPD did report that all recovered items have since been returned to their rightful owners.

In nearby Nashville over the same 4-week period, over 150 burglaries were reported. The numbers from Music City show residents and business owners are more likely to be broken into there, as opposed to Murfreesboro. If using 2021 population statistics, it looks as if 1 in every 4,508 Nashville residents have reported a burglary in the past 4-weeks. That means the odds of being burglarized in Music City are 2.7% higher than the odds of being burglarized in Murfreesboro. In the 'Boro, roughly 1-burglary was reported for every 4,632 residents in the past 4-weeks.
