2023 Cynosport Dog Agility World Games Returns to Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, TN - Hundreds of dogs and dog lovers are gearing up for the Cynosport® Dog Agility World Games Presented by Purina Pro Plan, which is set to make its grand return to the Tennessee Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tenn., October 18-22. Hosted by the United States Dog Agility Association, Inc.® (USDAA®), this prestigious championship will feature many familiar highlights while celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023!

USDAA® first introduced the Cynosport® World Games in 2003 in Dallas, Texas, bringing together a variety of agility competitions including final rounds of the Grand Prix of Dog Agility® and Dog Agility Steeplechase® annual tournament series championships. Now in its 20th year, the Cynosport® Dog Agility World Games features the world’s best canine athletes racing over obstacle courses against the clock while being navigated by their human partner in four distinct tournament series.

This year, competitors will be battling for the sport’s most coveted prizes, including the 35th anniversary of Grand Prix of Dog Agility® World Championship and the right to compete for more than $10,000 in prize money in the Dog Agility Steeplechase®, as well as the  Dog Agility Masters® International Team Team Championship, and Masters Challenge Biathlonâ„ .  In addition to celebrating its 20th anniversary, Cynosport® will host its 15th annual livestream, having pioneered dog agility webcasts in 2008.

The Cynosport® Dog Agility World Games open Wednesday, October 18, and feature five days of world-class canine competition. The exciting sport of dog agility showcases talented dogs performing against the clock over hurdles and A-frames, through tunnels, hanging tires, weave poles and even the see-saw. Easy for spectators to understand, the objective is to score the fastest time with the least penalties. Dogs of all breeds and sizes compete in various classes where obstacles are set based on the height and experience of the dog.
