MURFREESBORO, TN - Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital is proud to announce they completed 1,000 successful surgeries in May, setting the record for the highest number of surgeries performed in a single month. 

The hospital's comprehensive range of surgical specialties includes but is not limited to orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery, and minimally invasive procedures. Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital’s state-of-the-art technology has enabled the surgical team to deliver exceptional outcomes for their patients.

The Medical Center Parkway campus has served thousands upon thousands of patients of all ages and from all backgrounds. As an example, in 2021 the hospital provided care to those who could not afford treatment – to the tune of $52-million.

Approximately $110-million in expansion investments at the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford campus are underway and set for completion in 2024. In addition to the ongoing changes at the Medical Center Parkway location, this year marked the beginning of a new era in truly localized care. This past March, Ascension opened the brand new Westlawn campus in the Blackman area. The hospital, which includes an emergency room, sits along Veterans Parkway near I-840. The new campus is the first neighborhood hospital in Tennessee.
