Wood secures the front window / door after break-in on June 9.

MURFREESBORO, TN – A vape store on South Church Street across from the Savannah Ridge subdivision in Murfreesboro, has been broken into for the third time in the past 3-months. Murfreesboro Police confirmed they most recently responded to Galaxy Vape last Friday, June 9 at 1:44 AM. According to MPD Public Information Officer Larry Flowers, “Officers arrived to find broken glass from a front door.  After securing the building and setting up a perimeter, it was determined that no one made entry into the building. The owners were called who checked surveillance video.  A male is seen on camera breaking the glass with an object and then ran away before entering the store.”

In April, police responded to the store on two occasions and just 2-days apart. On April 17, an unidentified male was caught on video entering Galaxy Vape next to Koji Express. The man, according to the MPD, entered through an unlocked front door and took items from the store. Shortly after the subject entered, he left on foot and could be seen running towards the nearby Barfield Animal Clinic that is across the street.

The MPD says two days later on April 19, 2023, the same man allegedly returned with one other person. Authorities reported they used a hatchet to break the glass on the door to get inside a second time. A security camera showed the two culprits were only in the store for about one minute before leaving and again crossing South Church Street, running in the direction of the animal clinic.
