Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have fallen 4.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.12/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 2.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 151.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 1.6 cents in the last week and stands at $3.87 per gallon.
In Rutherford County, the average price per gallon for regular unleaded fuel stands at $3.07, as of Monday morning. Right now, all neighboring counties are averaging higher prices than the Murfreesboro / Smyrna and LaVergne areas. In fact, one of the highest priced counties sits to the west of Rutherford County in Williamson County. Reports from AAA, the Auto Club, show that Williamson County has an average price of $3.40 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel, which is the highest priced county in the state.
AAA reports the average price of mid-grade fuel in Tennessee is $3.52 per gallon. Premium fuel at Tennessee gas stations is selling for $3.87 per gallon, as of Monday morning at 7AM.
