UPDATED - MURFREESBORO, TN - A 49-year-old Murfreesboro woman who was reported as missing, according to Murfreesboro Public Safety Information Officer Larry Flowers, has since been found. Police originally told WGNS at noon on Tuesday (May 30, 2023) that Ila Cynthia McCrary was last seen at New Day Behavioral on South Church Street in Murfreesboro on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. By 8AM on Wednesday morning, authorities told WGNS that McCrary has been safely located in nearby Wilson County, Tennessee.

On Tuesday, authorities told WGNS News that McCrary was possibly en-route to either Wilson or Williamson County. After she was initially reported as a missing person, she was entered into the National Crime & Information Center (NCIC) database as missing.

Again, McCrary has since been located and is safe, according to Murfreesboro Police.
