(MURFREESBORO) There was a mini-van vs utility pole crash around 8:40AM Saturday morning (4/22/2023) at 1302 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., in front of the Mercury Manor Condominiums. 

Police PIO Larry Flowers told WGNS, "The driver possibly suffered a medical emergency causing her to lose control of her vehicle and crash into the utility pole."

The driver suffered very light injuries, but as a precaution she was transported to the hospital for observation.

There were no other persons involved in the accident.

The crash knocked out power to residents in the immediate area. Middle Tennessee Electric quickly replaced the shattered utility pole and restored the electricity.
