Possibility Place to Host 'PossiBOWLity' on May 20th in Smyrna

Smyrna, TN - Jackie Miller with Possibility Place, told WGNS News that a fundraising bowling event will take place in Smyrna late next month. The event, which is called “PossiBOWLity,” will be at the Smyrna Bowling Center between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 20th. Possibility Place was created to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Possibility Place is a non-profit based in Rutherford County that works with adults that have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The organization focuses on teaching all the possibilities that exist for those who face the challenge of a disability. Finding independence and feeling secure and confident in that independence is another area of focus for those who are enrolled at Possibility Place. The not-for-profit reports their students also form new friendships and the end result equals a full and rich life.

The Possibility Place slogan is, "Discovering Possibilities For Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities."

The annual 'PossiBOWLity' on May 20th is open to the community and families are encouraged to take part in the fun. Form a bowling team and be a part of the action that will help a good cause. In addition to bowling, a silent auction and door prizes will be a part of the upcoming event.
