Murfreesboro, TN - A nonprofit faith-based organization in Rutherford County, sponsored by the Churches of Christ, is hosting a fashion show / fundraiser this month. The event is being held to raise funds for the Stones River Manor Benevolence Program. The program positively impacts qualified residents who live at Stones River Manor.
During the fashion show, senior citizens who live at the manor, along with staff members, will be modeling clothes from local clothing stores. Family Services Coordinator Mike Gann with the manor described the fun that some of the residents are having while preparing to be a model for the upcoming show... Shannon Watson, who is helping to organize the fashion show, said the seniors who are modeling are having a ball trying on all the different outfits that will be showcased at the upcoming show... This event is open to everyone and those interested in contributing can purchase a ticket with a donation of $30 or more. Snacks & door prizes will be a part of the fun filled afternoon.
The Benevolence Program works with elderly residents who find themselves in a financial crisis, unable to pay their living expenses... Elderly residents who live at the manor are able to apply for assistance to help pay for their stay through the special program. And a multitude of past residents have been very thankful for that program, because no qualified resident who has applied for assistance at the Stones River Manor - - has ever been discharged from the senior campus due to the inability to pay for care. Gann reminded listeners that everyone is invited to be at the upcoming event on April 22nd...
The upcoming fundraiser is on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm. North Boulevard Church of Christ will host the event. North Boulevard Church of Christ is at 1112 N Rutherford Boulevard in Murfreesboro, TN (37130). It’s important to note, all donations are tax deductible.
