Rutherford County, TN - Earth Day is around the corner for Rutherford County and Middle Tennessee Electric’s Amy Byers told WGNS News… The Earth Day poster contest is open to local school students in grades kindergarten through 12th.
Poster designs should be focused on this years theme of, "What can we do to renew Rutherford together?" Some examples include: Recycling, saving water, saving energy, planting trees, etc. The actual Earth Day Celebration will be on the historic downtown Murfreesboro square Saturday, April 22nd, between 10AM and 2PM.
The Earth Day committee reports they're excited to see this years posters, which can be submitted now through Friday, April 14th, 2023 at 4:00pm. The winning poster and the posters that are picked as finalists, will be on display at the 2023 Rutherford County Earth Day Celebration on April 22, 2023.
