Storm Lines Extremely Strong Wednesday Night and Well Into Thursday

Round 1: The National Weather Service continues to report a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Middle Tennessee, which directly impacts Rutherford County. Throughout the night there will likely be some strong to severe storms into the late evening hours. The storm lines will also bring strong to damaging wind gusts, which will be the primary threat, but also isolated tornadoes as well as heavy rain leading to flooding in some areas.

Round 2: Another round of potentially strong to severe storms will be possible early Thursday morning through Thursday afternoon, which is why the Rutherford County Schools decided to cancel / close all county operated schools on Thursday. Strong to damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat in the early morning hours of Thursday with the possibility of isolated tornadoes, as well as heavy rain leading to flooding in multiple areas.
