Multiple positions need to be filled and there’s also the availability of sign-on bonuses… They’ve also had signing bonuses for eligible teachers that want to come out of retirement as well as bonuses for hard-to-fill schools that may be out-of-the way for residents commuting to and from work. Dr. Anthony elaborated on how the sign-on bonus is paid…Perhaps one of the most important questions, how much is the sign-on bonus?

The county schools have just over 51-thousand students – and growing… That growth has been very consistent, growing from 25-schools in the mid to late 1990’s to over 50-schools today, which include at least one all virtual school. Today, Rutherford County Schools have approximately 6-thousand employees.

Don’t have a license to teach? Don’t let that stop you! For those who don’t have a teaching license, but have a desire to become a teacher, the Rutherford County Schools can help with their local Teach Now program, as explained by Laura Caban… Caban is part of the Human Resources office in the county schools. Again, the job fair is THIS SATURDAY at Stewarts Creek High School from 11AM to 1PM.

MORE DETAILS: Rutherford County Schools will host an in-person Career Fair on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stewarts Creek High School. This event provides an opportunity for job candidates to explore and discover exciting teaching opportunities within the Rutherford County Schools for the 2023-2024 school year.
