(MURFREESBORO)  Here's an update on a story that started around 6:00 o'clock Wednesday night (2/1/2023). Murfreesboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division (CID) detectives are looking for the person responsible for shooting a man and leaving him seriously injured. 

The 20-year-old male is in critical condition.

PIO Larry Flowers said, "The victim was shot while sitting in a parked car at the intersection of Pritchett Dr. and Betsy Ann Ave. An MPD K9 ran a track from the intersection to Florence Road where it ended."

Investigators believe the shooter left the area. 

CID detectives are trying to determine a motive for the shooting. 

Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted with a drone with heat sensors, and a bloodhound.

(MURFREESBORO) Around 6:30PM Wednesday (2/1/23) evening, Murfreesboro Police were called to Pritchett Drive to investigate a male in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. 

PIO Larry Flowers told WGNS that a male passenger in a car was shot and taken to the hospital.

Pritchett Drive is a one-block long residential road that's just off Florence Road.
