Murfreesboro Detectives would like to talk to a person of interest who was captured on camera in an attempted robbery case.

This past Thursday on January 12, at 11:35 at night, an unidentified person entered Vapor 69 on Memorial Blvd. and attempted to rob an employee at gunpoint, according to the MPD. The individual entered the store allegedly pointing a gun at the clerk demanding money. Reports indicate the clerk drew his handgun, and the would-be robber ran to a silver, four-door sedan. Police say he fired at least two rounds towards the clerk, striking the window and door of the store.

Police ask, “If you have any additional information or can ID this person of interest, please contact Detective Trae Smalley at 629-201-5518.”
