(MURFREESBORO) Once again, Greenhouse Ministries has made it possible for the people of this community to count their many blessings. Area residents were dropping-off frozen turkeys all day Friday (11/18/2022). With a goal of 500 gobblers, it became evident that the goal would be reached when the scoreboard in the driveway showed "430", and there were several hours remaining for people to help others.
Greenhouse Ministries Co-Founder Cliff Sharp said . . .
When the last car in-line dropped off their frozen chunk of love, it became official that the heart's of local residents exceeded the goal by approximately 600 per cent. Over 600 turkeys were given out on Saturday (11/19/2022), and that was with the help of nearly 300 volunteers.
In early January of this year (2022), Greenhouse Ministries officially opened its new 25,000 square foot facility at 307 S. Academy Street. That’s just across from the Spring Street location where the popular Garden Patch Thrift Shop is located, and that's where the frozen turkeys were both "collected" and "distributed".
The Garden Patch is part of Greenhouse Ministries and provides relational ministry through a quality thrift shop experience for everyone.
In addition, 100 per cent of the proceeds go back to the ministry and community when you shop with the Garden Patch. This upscale thrift store is open to everyone from 9:30AM to 5:00PM on Tuesday through Friday, as well as 9:00AM until noon on Saturdays.
