(MURFREESBORO) The 2022 Read To Succeed Celebrity Spelling Bee was held Thursday evening (11/3/2022) at the Copper Ridge Event Venue. In the 15th round, Amelia Bozeman won the competition by successfully spelling "xylorimba". She is the director of the Tennessee Small Business Development Center at MTSU.
FYI: Xylorimba is a large xylophone with an extended range of five octaves. Try working that word into a conversation the next time that you are with a group of friends.
The fifteenth and final round consisted of Bozeman, along with community volunteer Anna M. Stewart, and MTSU's Dean of Applied Sciences Dr. Greg Van Patten. Read to Succeed Executive Director Jolene Radnoti told NewsRadio WGNS that the goal for the non-profit was surpassed...
The award for the person who collected the most donations was community volunteer Anna Stewart. She did both one-on-one collecting as well as fund-raising with the internet. As a result, there were many donations from distant places...

One-Read Announced
During the Spelling Bee, Radnoti announced the 2023 One Community Read. It will be Maybe You Should Talk To Someone by Lori Gottlieb.
This non-fiction book is written from the perspective of following the live of four of her patients. Then the therapist herself becomes a part of the study when she is devastated by a romantic split and ends-up with counseling as well. This is an honest book, that's illuminating and also very funny!
Starting in January, 2024, the book Maybe You Should Talk To Someone will be available at the Rutherford County Public library System or a Simply Pure Sweets on the east side of the Murfreesboro square.
