The opening day of the 2022 Uncle Dave Macon Days is also Uncle Dave Macon’s 152nd birthday!  Join us at The Fountains, 1500 Medical Center Parkway, Friday, October 7, around 6 p.m. (Fest opens at 4:00) for a unique birthday celebration hosted by Dr. Mike Doubler, Uncle Dave’s great-grandson and author of Dixie Dewdrop.  Country music legend Leroy Troy will be there as well to perform several Uncle Dave tunes on the banjo and lead the singing of “Happy Birthday!” Leroy Troy was one of the first Uncle Dave Macon winners with the performing styles of Uncle Dave Macon on the Square in the 1980’s as a teenager.

A fan “meet and greet” and book signing will follow.

Sparked by the changes across America’s musical landscape, Uncle Dave Macon Days is dedicated to growing a family-friendly musical event at The Fountains. Festival at The Fountains opens at 4:00pm.
