Today, Airbnb has released a new report showing how Hosts here in Tennessee and across the US can earn by sharing their vineyard-adjacent home – along with supporting local wine tourism. In fact, Tennessee is #2 top-earning state in the US for Hosts near vineyards, with Hosts in Tennessee’s wine country earning more than $42 million from hosting as of Q2 2022.

In May, Airbnb introduced a new way to search designed around Airbnb Categories — including Vineyards. US Hosts offering stays in the Vineyards Category collectively earned more than $270 million in Q2 2022 alone, with the typical US Host in the Vineyards Category earning more than $8,000 over the same period.

Among the top 10 US cities with the most listings in the Vineyards Category, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville are #3 and #4 respectively, after Branson, Missouri and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Along with Tennessee in the #2 slot, the top 10 US states where Hosts near wineries earned the most in Q2 2022 are California (#1), Florida (#3) and New York (#4).

As of June 30, 2022, 45 percent of US Hosts in the Vineyards Category are between the ages of 30 and 50, and more than a quarter are older adults over the age of 60 – and 62 percent self-identify as women.
One of the homes to wine in our immediate area is the Big Creek Winery Tasting Room in Christiana, TN. Big Creek Winery is open daily for tastings of its selection of grape and fruit wines, which are made and sold at the winery. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to tour their winery and learn their wine-making story.
Just past Eagleville, you’ll find the 95-acres of Arrington Vineyards. There, guests are encouraged to picnic under shade trees that overlook their 16 acres of vineyards. Arrington also has five tasting rooms and produces twenty-two award-winning wines onsite.
