SMYRNA, Tennessee - WGNS has an update on the shooting that left one person dead in Smyrna. According to police, the incident took place on Tuesday morning (April 19, 2022) around 10. Smyrna Police confirmed the shooting happened in the 200 block of Cannon Drive. Authorities say the individual they located suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A nearby security camera caught a vehicle fleeing the area and detectives are trying to locate the car that appeared to be a station wagon.
