A significant project the City of Murfreesboro hopes to get off the ground in the near future will lessen the burden of traffic on both Highway 99 and Highway 96. The project involves the construction of a bridge over the Stones River.

As heard in past newscast, the city will extend Beasie Road off New Salem Highway at Warrior Drive. that runs alongside of I-24.
