Today on the Action Line, WGNS’ Scott Walker spoke with Rutherford County Library Director Rita Shacklett and Mark Crocker with the RCLS Foundation. Crocker told WGNS about their upcoming fundraiser, scheduled for May 7th. The event will be held at 746 East Main Street in Murfreesboro and will include live music, food and fun. The library foundation has a goal to raise enough in funding to purchase a new Book Mobile. 

As many may have heard, the library book mobile that was used for years has had a good run, but it ran its last lap during the COVID Pandemic. That said, the book mobile is in need of replacement with a newer, more reliable vehicle to better serve the community.
