Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford will host a ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremony for the new Ascension Saint Thomas StatFlight-branded BELL 407GXi helicopter.

Operated by Air Evac Lifeteam, part of the Global Medical Response family of companies, the helicopter will provide life-saving dedicated emergency air medical coverage to Rutherford County and surrounding communities. 

Each crew will consist of an Air Evac pilot, nurse, and paramedic with extensive field experience. The crew will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to transport critically ill and injured patients to the most appropriate Middle Tennessee facilities.

StatFlight will service a 70-to-100-mile radius from Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford on Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro, TN and greatly reduce transport times to definitive care.

The helicopter will be unveiled this Friday at 4PM Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford.
