(MURFREESBORO)  At 6:10PM Wednesday night (1/26/2022), a pedestrian was struck and killed near the intersection of South Church Street at Warrior Drive.

Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers told NewsRadio WGNS, "The pedestrian hit by a truck has been pronounced dead." 

Reports indicate the man was struck multiple times by oncoming vehicles Wednesday evening.

Flowers noted that the preliminary investigation shows that the man was in the outbound lane of travel on South Church Street when he was struck the first time and then run over by at least two more vehicles. 

The Murfreesboro Police' FACT Team (Fatal Accident Crash Team) is investigating the tragic accident. 

The name of the victim is not being released until relatives are notified of the man's death.

(MURFREESBORO)  At 6:10PM Wednesday night, Murfreesboro Police were called to the intersection of South Church and Warrior Drive where a pedestrian was hit. 

The vehicle vs pedestrian occured in the southbound lane (away from town) of South Church Street (highway 231-South, Shelbyville Highway).
