Longtime Murfreesboro resident Melissa Warren today announced her four-and-a-half-year-old company providing in-home care to Rutherford Countians has changed its name and its service territory.
“We’re at the same location, with the same great staff, and the same great caregivers,” Warren said. “The only changes are our new name---@Home Care and the fact that now we can provide your loved ones with care anywhere they need it in middle Tennessee.”
The company’s services include care to older adults, people with disabilities and others who may need the company’s services for a day, a week or indefinitely.
Caregivers assist with the following:
- Grocery shopping
- Meal preparation for the day or for future meals
- Transportation to church, medical appointments, outings and errands
- Light housekeeping tasks, including laundry
- Errands and appointments
- Medication reminders
- Personal care, like bathing and dressing
- Relief for family members (Respite care)
“We provide our clients what they want most---to remain in their own homes as independently as possible, with their own familiar possessions, neighbors and schedules,” said Warren. “What we do can’t be learned from a book…it comes from the heart. We truly care.”
@Home Care is licensed by the State of Tennessee through the Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, and is a provider of the state’s Choices program. The company is audited routinely as part of the state’s program.
“Through Choices, we serve people who otherwise may not receive the attention and help they need and deserve because of their financial limitations,” Warren said.
Veterans Administration benefits, long-term care insurance, state contracts and private payments are the primary methods of funding caregiving assistance.
