(MURFREESBORO) -- Seasoned sportswriter Danny Brewer is proud to join the WGNS Radio sport reporting team. Danny has covered a variety of sports for multiple publications including the Rutherford Review, Nashville Banner, Nashville Sports Weekly, Middle Tennessee Racing News, the Rutherford Reader and Horseracingscoop.com. Having been in the game since 1993, Brewer brings both experience, enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of local sports to the WGNS lineup.

Danny is currently a member of the College Football Writers Association, College Basketball Writers Association, voting member in the National Thoroughbred Racing Association poll, and a member of the Turf Publicists of America. Danny will offer insight on high school sports, coverage of MTSU athletics, and the world of thoroughbred horse racing. A native of Rutherford County and lifelong Smyrna resident, this former Bulldog baseball player is thrilled about the opportunity.
