Local law enforcement and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration are working to provide the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

This Friday in Murfreesboro, Trust Point Hospital and Murfreesboro Medical Clinic are partnering with the Prevention Coalition and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office to provide a safe place for you to dispose of your unused medications.

The Murfreesboro “Drive-Thru” drug take back event will be collecting tablets, capsules, pills of all types and other solid forms of prescription drugs. However, they cannot accept liquids, needles, sharp instruments, or illegal drugs on Friday (April 23, 2021).

You can drive-thru and drop off your unused medications at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic this Friday (April 23, 2021). The drop-off location will be in their South parking lot at 1272 Garrison Drive in Murfreesboro.
