Rutherford County got quite the surprise on property tax payments…
That was Rutherford County Trustee Teb Batey. Luckily, the $20-million shortfall on property tax payments was only brief. It turns out, the lack of payments was the result of the snow and ice storms that hit Middle Tennessee.
On a side note, the final day to pay property taxes without penalty was February 28, 2021.
