State Representative Charlie Baum who lives in Murfreesboro, says that three new bills will focus on helping children advance their learning and learn additional things they would have gathered, had the Pandemic not occurred.

The summer remediation programs for the schools are 4 to 6-weeks long. If a parent elects to send their child to a summer program, the child will learn additional material that would have been covered if the pandemic had not occurred.  

A third bill will hold teachers harmless on their performance evaluations, because the COVID Pandemic changed the way that learning took place over the current school year.

  

The bill also makes way for a teacher pay raise in the state.
