Detectives Investigating Tuesday Night's Murder of Woman in South Nashville - Car She was Passenger in Found in LaVergne

Homicide detectives in Nashville are pursuing leads in Tuesday night’s murder of 27-year old Holly Vantrease of Nashville, after the car she was previously in was located in LaVergne.

Vantrease is believed to have been shot while in the passenger seat of the car in the area of 270 Tampa Drive, and was later dumped out in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Paragon Mills Road.

Investigation work during the night in coordination with Lavergne Police led to the recovery of the car in which Vantrease was riding. It has been impounded and is being processed at the MNPD laboratory. A witness with the car was questioned. The investigation is continuing.
