There are approximately 5000 open positions in Rutherford County that employers are trying to fill. To support job seekers and employers, Rutherford Works, in partnership with Workforce Essentials, will host a virtual job fair featuring in-demand jobs on December 2 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The City of Murfreesboro is also hiring new employees. Some of the current positions available include the police department hiring new officers with a starting salary of just over $44,000 annually.

Murfreesboro also has a part-time custodian position open through the Parks and Rec Department that pays $12 hourly. The Parks and Rec offices are also looking for facility attendant's at Patterson Park, Sports*Com and more. The position is part time and pays between $9.74 and $12.00 hourly.
