Explosive offense and a defense that gave up just over 100-yards was the recipe for another Oakland victory which propel them to the Class 6A quarterfinals. They defeated Mt. Juliet Friday night 49-17.
After a blocked punt put the Bears deep in Oakland territory, they settled for a 30-yard field goal to take a 3-0 lead. The Patriots would go on to score 49 unanswered points.
Led by running back Jordan James, who had 11-carries for 185-yards and four touchdowns. This 34-yard run to start the second quarter put them up 14-3:

The Patriots scored twice more in the second half and with a running clock and subs in the game, the Bears were able to score twice for the final 49-17.
Oakland had 330-yards rushing, 101 passing for 431-yards. Their defense only gave up 69-yards rushing and 45-passing for 114-yards. Alsethony McGhee had an interception for the Pats defense as well.
With the win, Oakland will host Riverdale, who was a 27-14 winner at Hendersonville. It's their first quarterfinal appearance in eight-years.
