Region play is always big - but for our local teams in Region 5-6A, this year of COVID football makes it even bigger.

With Metro teams in the league and not being able to play the first half of the regular season, when Rutherford County foes get together, these games mean a lot.

That's what we have for you on Friday night with Stewarts Creek at La Vergne on State Farm Prep Football. Wolverines coach Mike Woodward says says jumping into region play is exciting but won't be easy:

Both coaches are in their first year at the helm of their teams and it will be an important battle for playoffs come November.
