La Vergne principal Theo Hatchett has hired Tony Rutland as the next boys basketball coach. He takes over for Jeremy Moore, who resigned several weeks ago to take over at Centennial.

He was assistant coach at Stewarts Creek the last two seasons under Dawn Barger. He tweeted "So blessed to have the opportunity to coach the @LHS_Basketball team. Thank you @DrHatchett_LHS for giving me the opportunity to keep building the program. Coach Moore did a great job with building the program."
