A Murfreesboro man has been arrested for attempted murder in nearby Williamson County.

Franklin Police have charged one of the suspects involved ina Sunday attempted carjacking and shooting at the Dwell at McEwen Apartments.

Authorities say that 24 year old Joshua Hallmon of Murfreesboro, TN was charged with Attempted Murder, Attempted Carjacking, being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Hallmon is currently in custody in Rutherford County on similar charges out of Murfreesboro.

The suspect is a convicted felon with a serious criminal history, according to Franklin Police.

Detectives are working to identify and arrest the second suspect in this case.
