On Saturday (8/20/.2011) the sea of people that packed the parking lot in front of Belk in the Avenue of Murfreesboro showed that the 5th Annual Taste of Stones River that benefited the Primary Care and Hope Clinic was a huge success. An estimated 5,000 persons enjoyed the 4:00 to 8:00PM afternoon event.
Fifty-cent tickets were sold, and the public would visit the various booths and redeem them for food and other goodies. Around 50 vendors participated. Several area restaurants offered their best. In addition, there were inflatables for the kids, bands, balloon art and local businesses giving gifts and more.
Primary Care and Hope Clinic Public Information Officer Sean Gilliland told WGNS, "Our organization provides health care to the uninsured and to those who are not able to afford proper medical care." The website for the Primare Care and Hope Clinic is www.hopeclnc.org.
