MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - A multi-vehicle crash temporarily shut down a portion of Interstate 24 near Mile Marker 76. Emergency crews responded on Saturday to manage the scene and clear the wreckage.
Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department Ladder 11 arrived first on the scene and reported multiple vehicles involved, with at least two sustaining heavy damage. Despite the impact, responders confirmed there were no critical injuries.
MFRD crews worked quickly to assist everyone involved, secure the area, and help reopen the interstate as safely and fast as possible for Rutherford County commuters.
A full team of emergency units responded to the scene to help manage traffic and clear the road. Responding units included Ladder 11, Rescue 11, Safety 1, Safety 2, Battalion Chief 1, and Battalion Chief 2.
